Love iPhones? You should because it’s the coolest mobile phone on the planet. I love their different applications, touch screen and sleek design. Many products came out in the market to protect your beloved iPhone, like invisible shield and silicone case,  but when I saw this wood iPhone shellcase and slipcase from Think Geek, I was blown away. Vers made these cool wooden casing. What I particularly like about it, aside from a good sturdy protection, it’s also not a bacteria magnet. In using silicone casing, depending on the temperature where you live (I live in a tropical country) “sweating” is inevitable. Hence, the silicon casing becomes sticky and germ factory. It is  eco-friendly as well because it is made of bamboo. As we all know, bamboo is a grass and always an available abundant source. If you want something more fancy, you can choose  Walnut or Cherry wood. In feng shui, wood is considered yin. Using wooden casing is particularly beneficial for yang people. It balances the yin and yang in you. Too much yang means unrest.

Organizers can’t get any cooler with this fabulous Nest wall mounted shoe storage. J-me Design founded by two brothers designed this stainless steel shoe storage that looks like a piece of art. I swear shoes won’t fall from this shoe storage and it can hold up to six (6) pair  of shoes! Geek organizers like me loves to see products that is functional and artsy at the same time. Another eco-fab geeky gadget to add to your collection…tada! Bamboo Optical Mouse! We often replace broken mouse due to abuse in playing pc games, carelessness or just plain nutty. But imagine how many plastics will litter the earth because of broken mice?  Too many! Hence, Micro Innovations thought of using Bamboo wood as housing  for Optical Mice. I like the idea because when the mice are broken you can recycle the housing. Not to mention you have a nice looking mouse to caress. Modern interior home style is the “it” these days. Gone are the days of dark wooden panelings and dark furniture. The modern interior home designs that I now see have plenty of light, fresh, artsy, alive and very inviting to make anyone a homebody. These wall, decal and window stickers rock! What I like about it – it’s affordable, eye-catching, DIY and it doesn’t damage the walls/windows. You can stick ‘em and remove it when you want to without leaving any residue. Ferm Living designed these fab wall stickers and Emma Jeffs designed the window adhesives. They have stickers/adhesives for every mood and every room, like for a nursery room the animal tower stickers are cute. Check out these fabulous window and wall treatments I found from Feel More Human. My favorites are barcode wall sticker and white clover window adhesive. But if you want something totally different and something unique in your walls, check out the huge Finger Print wall stickers and Power Pole stickers. But there are so many designs to choose from.

In Feng shui, the shapes, materials and colors of objects you put in your home make the chi energy there more yin or more yang. If you like a room to be more yang (active) like your living room, go for the barcode wall stickers. Straight lines are considred more yang. While rounded shapes like the flora wall stickers are generally considered more yin (passive) so this is more suited in the bedroom where you want to get a good night sleep.

Whenever I find fabulous modern interior design/style for homes, I always feel a rush and it makes me happy that I discovered another great idea to design my home sweet home… soon. I can’t wait to move.

What do you think of the above “stones”? Lovely isn’t it? Will you be caught with these “stones” in your living or family room? These “stones” looked heavy to carry let alone try moving it, so no way will these “stones” land in the living room. But wait up! If these “stones” fooled you then it deserves a second look. These are actually oversized “stone” floor cushions. Amazing isn’t it? I was fooled the first time I saw it. South African textile designer Ronel Jordaan designed these fabulous felted wool stones. The cover of the cushions are 100% merino wool. What I particularly like about these “stone” cushions because of its shape, it prevents “cutting chi.” In feng shui, chi energy should be able to flow well inside and outside the home. It is said that sharp corners on furniture can cause “cutting chi” that can make chi energy swirl that lead to disorientation and confusion, in time, ill health. These “stones” are a winner, aside from you can fool anyone who pays you a visit, it also enhances good feng shui into your home.

I was cleaning the clutter in my room and I discovered that I collected so many magazines. In fact, I have 2 medium size boxes of old magazines! I was addicted to reading magazines in the past and it became my habit to buy even old editions. My favorite magazines are Cosmopolitan, Redbook, Good House Keeping, Dwell, Entrepreneur to name a few. Now, I just want those boxes out of my room to free some space. After removing the pages that I liked and for future use, I didn’t know what else to do with the rest of the magazines. I thought of giving it away to relatives and friends. But there’s still so many to give away. So when I saw this Storage crate made of recycled rolled magazines, $48 from VivaTerra, it gave me an idea of what to do with the rest. With the help of a glue gun and some card boards, I think I can make one of these fab storage crate.

I support the eco-friendly living. We have so many trash that we can convert into something useful to reduce the garbage in the world. But I have no plans to be like Sustainable Dave, a story of a man who never takes out the trash. I will just reduce the amount of trash I was throwing away by cutting back on the amount of stuff I consume everyday. Wish me luck!

Sometimes, we are too busy to organize all of it in a given time. Some (like me) just put everything inside a drawer, basket or worst accidentally throwing an important receipt or mail in a trash can.
