I like fabulous storage that can help keep clutter away. That is why when I see something as fab as the Optic Storage Cubes, decluttering while keeping your stuff is a happy treat. Who wouldn’t want these colorful storage boxes? It will make any home look modern, sleek and fab! Kartell made these stackable storage boxes. The fab thing about these 16″ x 16″ cubes, you can see different kinds of light in different angles and they have different colors to mix and match. You can also have an open cube or a cube with door for a concealed look. I am beginning to be a big fan of Kartell. I think can live in their showroom.

Modern interior home style is the “it” these days. Gone are the days of dark wooden panelings and dark furniture. The modern interior home designs that I now see have plenty of light, fresh, artsy, alive and very inviting to make anyone a homebody. These wall, decal and window stickers rock! What I like about it – it’s affordable, eye-catching, DIY and it doesn’t damage the walls/windows. You can stick ‘em and remove it when you want to without leaving any residue. Ferm Living designed these fab wall stickers and Emma Jeffs designed the window adhesives. They have stickers/adhesives for every mood and every room, like for a nursery room the animal tower stickers are cute. Check out these fabulous window and wall treatments I found from Feel More Human. My favorites are barcode wall sticker and white clover window adhesive. But if you want something totally different and something unique in your walls, check out the huge Finger Print wall stickers and Power Pole stickers. But there are so many designs to choose from.

In Feng shui, the shapes, materials and colors of objects you put in your home make the chi energy there more yin or more yang. If you like a room to be more yang (active) like your living room, go for the barcode wall stickers. Straight lines are considred more yang. While rounded shapes like the flora wall stickers are generally considered more yin (passive) so this is more suited in the bedroom where you want to get a good night sleep.

Whenever I find fabulous modern interior design/style for homes, I always feel a rush and it makes me happy that I discovered another great idea to design my home sweet home… soon. I can’t wait to move.

I was cleaning the clutter in my room and I discovered that I collected so many magazines. In fact, I have 2 medium size boxes of old magazines! I was addicted to reading magazines in the past and it became my habit to buy even old editions. My favorite magazines are Cosmopolitan, Redbook, Good House Keeping, Dwell, Entrepreneur to name a few. Now, I just want those boxes out of my room to free some space. After removing the pages that I liked and for future use, I didn’t know what else to do with the rest of the magazines. I thought of giving it away to relatives and friends. But there’s still so many to give away. So when I saw this Storage crate made of recycled rolled magazines, $48 from VivaTerra, it gave me an idea of what to do with the rest. With the help of a glue gun and some card boards, I think I can make one of these fab storage crate.

I support the eco-friendly living. We have so many trash that we can convert into something useful to reduce the garbage in the world. But I have no plans to be like Sustainable Dave, a story of a man who never takes out the trash. I will just reduce the amount of trash I was throwing away by cutting back on the amount of stuff I consume everyday. Wish me luck!

Or hate getting dirty and look drab? The fab find of the week might inspire you to start planting trees. Last night, I watched a docu entitled, “Gardening Confidentials,”  watching it made me feel so eager to start gardening than before (not to mention owning the fab Koi tattoo boots). In Feng Shui, Koi’s are lucky symbols of abundance. The docu featured awesome gardens from US, UK and Canada. It gave me so many ideas on what to do when the time comes I start my very own garden. Due to limited space (that’s what you get living in the city) I only have a few plants on pots. But I don’t despair because one day I might even garden in Mars. :D Scientists by the way are researching now how plants can grow in Mars. But I guess I’m in a dreamy state (must be too much coffee), maintaining a garden is easier said than done. I swear I love bags! Whenever I go to the mall or surf the net, I always look for bags.  I am not really looking for a specific brand, just any bag that captures my fancy. I am currently sporting a pink shoulder bag at work. But lately, I fancy a red leather bag. I never had red bags because at first I thought red bags can’t go with certain outfits, but now, I see more and more women use red bags to match their outfits without looking drab. The red leather bag from Latico is a fab find not just for its style but its also affordable. In Feng Shui, red is considered a dominant color that brings strong energy to a person. Too much red is  considered not good though. Hence, balance it with other colors like  the bags I found at eBags! As they say, bags can make or break one’s outfit.

I can’t tell immediately if its really made of candy wrappers, but it is! Designed by Nahui Ollin, it is hand-woven and approximately made of 700 candy wrappers. I was instantly inspired to make my own candy wrapper clutch bag. Right now, I collected about 50 assorted candy wrappers from co-workers and family as well. I am still thinking how to make this candy wrapper clutch, but I know I can do it. I will post my finish product and the DIY guide. I feel excited and happy whenever I see stuff that are made of recycled materials. My love for eco-friendly stuff started when mickey mouse introduced me to Shipping Container homes. I was amazed how its possible to turn shipping containers that are almost considered junks turned into fab homes. So in my spare time, aside from Feng Shui you will see me surfing for do-it-yourself eco-friendly products. Its about time I start doing my part in conserving our natural resources. I’m sure, you would like to do that too. So when I saw this Moss chair found by casasugar, designed by 22-yrs old designer named Kyle Schuneman, I was like Wow! Cool, awesome but yikes! I don’t think I can sit in that chair.

But calmed down, its not for sitting. Its a piece of art that you can put in your home, garden, patio, etc. I didn’t know mosses can be a good decorative plant too. In Japanese gardens, they use mosses in bonsai pots. But this is an example that although moss sometimes gross me out, it has hidden beauty.
