You must be feeling “Love is in the air” these days. All kinds of ads are everywhere to remind you that its “Valentine’s Day” once again. If you have a “valentino” the more you look forward to this day. But to those single and looking, its nice to know that there’s always “Valentine’s Day” next year. I love celebrating “Valentine’s Day” and it’s a memorable day for me and my partner. Despite many think that it’s only commercialism, I still think that it’s wonderful that there’s a day for people to stop whatever their doing and celebrate love. After all, who doesn’t want to be loved?

Clueless what to give your loved ones? You may want to consider these feng shui tips as a guide to bring good luck instead of bad luck to your loved ones:

According to feng shui experts, avoid giving these gifts: 1) Sharp pointed objects like knives, swords, scissors, letter opener, etc – it is believed that sharp pointed objects gives energy that can hurt the person who received these gifts; 2) wrist watch, clocks, wall clocks, etc. – feng shui experts said that giving someone a clock symbolizes and reminding that person that “his/her time is up” and only have little time to live (pretty morbid huh?); 3) handkerchief – we usually use handkerchiefs to wipe off sweat and tears, in feng shui, when you give handkerchief as a gift, it’s like you expect that person to experience hardship and misery in the future; 4) empty wallets and coin purses – it is believed that it brings bad luck to the gift giver and to the receiver; 5) Long stemmed red roses with thorns – feng shui experts said avoid giving long stemmed red roses with thorns to your loved ones because it will ruin your relationship. But if your loved one likes long stemmed red roses, just make sure you remove the thorns.

If someone gave you these gifts already, don’t be sad because feng shui experts said that there’s remedies. For nos. 1-3, you should give a coin (any amount) to the person whom you received these gifts. By giving a coin, it symbolizes you “bought” the gifts. For nos. 4, they advised that when you received an empty wallet, put any amount inside the wallet asap and give it away. In this way, there will be no bad luck for you and for the person who gave you the wallet.

Here’s the exciting part, giving favorable gifts to your loved ones. According to feng shui experts, chocolates, wines, and fruits are good luck gifts and symbolizes good fortune. When you give these gifts to your loved ones or friends, you wish that person to have a sweet and happy life. Giving jewelryand perfumes are highly recommended because these gifts last even a lifetime, the effect is the same with your relationship and friends.

But in the end, what matters most is being able to spend time with your loved one, with or without gifts to give, for love is already a gift to both of you. Not all can find a love that last and can endure the test of time. As for me, as long as I have a cup of Cappuccino and superman is beside me, that’s the best Valentine’s day ever.

Let’s add more essential stuff that will help you achieve a stress free life. People have burned incense for cleansing purposes and ritual ceremonies for long time. In more recent times, aromatherapy uses variety of fascinating fragrances as a way to touch the soul. In Feng shui, burning of incense is to cleanse and remove negative energies from a room or home.
