So when I came across this Red-Crowned [...]]]> Since I started to include drinking tea in my daily routine, I’ve been in search of “collectible” tea sets. When I’m out shopping I don’t miss the home area section of the mall in search of the “It” tea set that will make me enjoy my tea better. So when I came across this Red-Crowned Crane Inner Painting Tea Set from Good Orient, I thought of it as unique and pretty. Makes you wonder how they were able to paint inside the tea set? Me too.

“Inner Painting,” or painting inside glass spheres or snuff bottles, originated during the Ming Dynasty. The craft came about when the elegant art of painting and ceramics making in China had reached a peak.

Its awesome how they were able to paint the image of the red-crowned crane perfectly inside the tea set. In Feng Shui, cranes are symbol of rejuvenation. A crane’s wing was used as amulet against tiredness and exhaustion, because people admired it for untiring strength in flight. Placing a metal crane sculpture in the garden symbolizes long life.

I just hope the paint won’t rub off when I made my fave cup of tea in this tea set. But still, I fancy it for its beauty and uniqueness.

Before I only drink tea when I have upset stomach. But I have this wonderful feeling when I drink tea after I just eat a full meal. It relaxes my stomach and helps me in my digestion especially when I eat fatty foods. My tea is the regular Lipton Tea that you can buy in grocery stores. But I discovered Lipton Green Tea and tried it, but for a pack of 10 is $1.58. But still its a little reward for myself. I like tea that do not have strong aroma. In fact, I prefer my tea to not have aroma at all. This doesn’t mean that I will stop drinking coffee, coffee especially Cappucino coffee is still my first love. And since I now enjoy drinking tea, I am now looking for cute and unique collectible tea sets. And oh mi gosh! I found the above unique tea set! I think its a sin to drink in this wonderful jade tea set but this will be a beauty in my collectibles. I am fascinated with Jade jewelries and accessories too. Its a kind of stone that never goes out of style. I would like to have one of these Jade Hummingbird dangling earrings!!! Darn my birthday is like 11 months to go. (sigh)
